I couldn't stand the thought of having the lock switches on my door handles flopping around, so I decided to go ahead and hook them up to the locking mechanism. Yes, it's kind of silly to have locks on a convertible without outside handles, but at least I won't have a rattling little switch on the handle that's not connected to anything.
This is how I did it.

It reverses the function of the switch, but I never really paid attention to the markings on them anyway -- if it was locked I just flipped it the other way. The cable ties that wrap around both wires are loose and only serve to keep everything lined up. The two that immobilize the pivoting link are tight.
It's an utterly useless mod really, although not the only useless one I imagine I'll implement
