And not just leaking, we are talking about it coming out like a fire hoze!

I replaced the high pressure hose from the pump to the rack, turns out it is one of the 2 mounted lines on the rack. I called 2 parts stores, but both wanted to sell me a new powe steering rack. Can anyone suggest some affordable fixes?

Thanks!

I used a donor pump which I inspected and removed lines to check, clean, and paint. If your lines are leaking from the high and low pressure hoses, there are some brass washer like seals that could cause leaks if not replaced. I also had a small seeping leak at the steering shaft (used PS fluid with stop leak- worked first time). Hope that helps. I found the locations for the hoses difficult to access and tighten so it took some effort to get enough action on the wrench but was able to tighten with some patience. Make sure the area is very clean so you can detect the leak source.

Good luck,
