I thought about posting in the 'Canada' section but I get better responses in the main forum!
Does anyone know the law regarding windshield wipers in Alberta, Canada? I tried searching but found nothing. We don't get a lot of rain, and I do like the clean look.

Needed them in British Columbia. Figure out where you are going to get it inspected and go ask them. I had Canadian tire do it and they made me have them. I also looked up on the insurance website which had the document for inspection they needed to sign. I did not need built in water washer but I did need to bring a spray bottle with me, which I just put under the seat and pulled out to wash the windows. That sufficed.
I did get into a debate with them about a back up light. They insisted I needed it, I insisted I did not. It was titled as 1965 replikit which went by the old rules so no backup light. Took a bit but they eventually agreed.
Alberta could be totally different but good luck

Thanks. I had no idea Canadian Tire did the inspections. I'm not sure of the whole procedure once the car is finished! I guess I could ask Alberta Registries.

This is the web site. There is a manual that they can follow, you just have to read it over. Yes I did have to have a working wiper with spry to get my GTM registered. It was registered as a 2013 car.

These are the approved sites that you have take your car to. Click on the map for your area and find a facility.

Hi all,
I found a hot rod friendly shop with an inspection license. Here in BC it is simply a check list. I arrived with a clip on wiper in the trunk and he simply checked the box that I had wipers and checked the next box that they worked. Done got charged 1 hours labor and was done. I also like the clean look and since I don't plan on driving in the rain it shouldn't be an issue. Good luck.

Andy

Don't have them on either of my cars. Was never an issue. Most importantly talk to the inspection places first to get a feeling for them before handing over your inspection form. Once they have it you are at their mercy. Clip on wipers are an option.
