I am in the process of converting my IRS from standard width to Pin Drive width. First lesson to anyone is to run a tap through the control arm threads before you try and install the heim joints. Had one gall up and destroy the threads. Not the issue today though.
I now have everything installed and working on alignment. I have set the toe at 1/16" total toe and 1/2 degree camber. With the track set at 54" the passenger upper control arm only has 1/2" of thread engagement. The lowers are almost threaded all the way in. I can move the passenger side in on all threads about 1/4" but then my track will be shifted to the drivers side. On the drivers side I have 3/4" engagement which is minimum and the lower rear is all the way in. So the drivers side cannot move in and keep alignment.
The old instructions said to use a 54 1/2" track which would be worse but the new instructions say to use 54" wide. The lower control arms have good engagement and still would have plenty of adjustment. Seams to me that the upper control arms are about 1/2" too short. I measured and they are both the same. From the tip of the arm to the bolt hole it is 10" and 11" end to end.

Would be great to know how long other peoples IRS Pin Drive UCA are. Also, what have you seen for thread engagement on other pin drive setups. With my standard length arms everything was fairly close and left more for adjustment either way. Any ideas of what I can change.
Thanks for any help
