View Full Version : Anyone notice a lot of play between front spindle and upper spindle bracket?

There is a lot of play in mine where the two bolts attach the spindle to the upper spindle bracket (balljoint bracket). The play is due to the fact that the holes through the spindle are larger diameter than the holes in the bracket which limits the diameter bolt you can put through the whole thing. Once I tighten these bolts down, I know that it will secure it, but I'm concerned that the camber will get knocked out of place during street/track driving.
Anyone else have this issue? Is it even a problem?

I used the larger camber adjust bolt in the larger hole, no play in the larger hole. I did have to "adjust" the clearance a bit, reamed the hole in the bracket to remove powder coat and cleaned up the OD of the bolt a wee but with emery paper, it is a tight fit

FFR added a pair of larger diameter bolts to the kit at some point for that upper hole. I think, like Dan, I had to reem out the bracket a bit. I want to say it was a 16mm bolt.

Awesome thank you! I found the bolts in the hardware kit and they fit perfectly and take out all the slop.

Yeah- I had to source a larger M16 bolt since I had an early kit. You may have to grind away some powdercoat.
