So I realize that there are some budget builders out there that do not necessarily need all of the upgrades that some of the higher HP builders need, so I thought I would put together a good build list for a great budget gearbox option.

G96.01 New factory reman unit, inverted with cooler in and out ports installed. (In case you want to upgrade later to a pump and cooler setup)
New Adapter kit to LS with flywheel
Stage II clutch kit complete
New Cable shift assy
Starter

Temping... what kind of HP/torque numbers can you put through this setup?

Tanderson1, The 996 gearbox has been running in a 650 plus car now for over a year, and while there have been other issues that needed to be addressed, the gearbox has not been one of them. This has shown to be quite strong, and more than capable of handing the HP and Torque, so I am going to say that up to 650 HP and lets say about 600 torques, (as often said by Mr. Clarkson) will be just fine for this gearbox.

I am going to be putting in some weekend time, so give me a call and we can talk more about it if you would like.

And then there was three. We only have three of these gearboxes left now in house, so if anyone else is tempted by this kit? It is a little easier on us to do more than one of these at a time, so I thought I would check again. :)
