Due to a couple of stars aligning, I am putting in as much time as I can to get myCoupe on the road this year. If I don't get it done this year, it will be a couple of years before I can finish it so this year it is..
A couple of things that were accomplished or finalized this week.
Put in the rear diffuser. I made a lip to attach it.

Finished a spare tire carrier just like in the originals.

Got the emblems back from the manufacture. Since there are two 50th anniversaries for the coupes. Year built and won championship, I thought I had a good time frame. So now it has to be this year that myCoupe is completed.

Sincerely excited for you Ron. If you lived closer I would offer to help...although, understandably, you would probably want to do it all yourself.

Do I recall that you had made a quantity purchase of those emblems and were offering them for sale? If so, I'm in.

No. I can use the help. Most everything is done and finishing up the last details and waiting for pieces from the shop and waiting for shipment of needed parts. I have my father doing the body work. He is finishing up the inside of the hood. I have farmed out some of the work to the local machine shops too. I HAVE to get it on the road this year.

For those who have gotten the emblems from me, I finally got the tape template completed.

The manufacture of the emblem could only put two strips of 1/2 tape on the backside of the emblem. I told them to leave them off (they didn't give me a discount). This template will allow for cutting out a full sized piece of two sided tape.

P.S. I still have some emblems left.
UPDATE: I was made aware of a product from 3M that is a adhesive that self templates. I am not sure how this will work as the product is designed for reapplying an old emblem with foam already on. I will purchase and try it out.

UPDATE ON UPDATE: I purchased a packet. They can be bought as singles. It worked really well and the only thing I had to do was use a round toothpick to clear up some adhesive that was left over in the tight areas of the emblem.
