Aluminum cockpit block off plates

Anybody have pics of these installed? Mine don't seem to fit well, or at all for that matter.

Is this supposed to be how they fit? Mine seem too tall, and the slot for the door latch mount is in the wrong place.

I agree Mike they do not fit well IMO. I left them off my 818. I may do the same on this customer car. I think I may fab my own cover for that area.

I made some covers that allow me to cover them with vinyl, those are a PITA and a nightmare to try to install

In the manual, that panel is shown on the outside of the frame.

You need to cut down the curved side, the top (horizontal) side and the back (vertical). Match it with the shape of the side sail. Then rivet it in place with the oval hole correctly placed over the 2 bolt door striker plate.

yup, those are a PITA so I made my own... they expect you to clamp them between the frame and the door latch brackets. I visited FFR and they made up some carpet and covered that area on the red car
