Hi
Does anyone know the size of the fuel line supplied with the current Mk4? I have heard that you should increase the size with the more power from the engine.
Thanks!
Ian

My Mk4 came with 5/16 inch fuel lines. I installed 3/8 inch with a pretty strong DART 347 engine and a mechanical fuel pump. Lots of discussion about really what is required. Generally if a donor or 5.0 build, the supplied size is fine. My Mk3 with a pretty warmed up 306 never had any issues with the stock 5/16 inch fuel line. If going up in power to 400+ HP, then probably larger is a good choice. But there are other factors, like type of fuel pump, fuel pressure, etc.

Thanks Ed. My engine guy has recommended 3/8" but didn't know what FFR supplied. Looks like 5/16" will be too small for my 560hp.

Yep. You definitely need to go to 3/8 inch if that's all the HP you're going to run. :p

I think you will want to be around a -8 an size. Aeromotive has a tool you can check out http://aeromotiveinc.com/power-planner/
