Hi everybody!

I am new here, so I am not sure if this is the right place to do this; admins feel free to move it if it is not.

I ordered a kit a couple weeks ago and am eagerly waiting its completion :D
I just wanted to introduce myself for when I need pointers and advice in the coming weeks!

Anyways, my name is Theo, I am 20 years old and from Long Island. My father owns a couple of auto body shops in the Bronx. (feel free to pm me if you want a hook up for paint work...we have 2 brand new down draft spray booths and one of the best painters in the industry :) ) I've wanted to do one of these since I was a kid and I saw my first AC Cobra....however now I am a Mustang fan at heart (I drive a 2008 GT and have a 91 GT I plan on cannibalizing for this build :( ).

I included a picture of my baby because I like to show her off lol

Anyway, Like I said Hi everyone! Thanks for being there!

Theo, as a newbie myself, I think you will find yourself among a wide array of knowledgeable people that have "been there, done that". It's good to have younger people still interested in cars and not just video games. Welcome aboard.

Theo, welcome to the fun! :)
You have lots to look forward to on your upcoming build. The 91 donor is a good choice, as you will find plenty of good advice from builders that used donors from that era. Nice to have a Dad that owns a bodyshop..that should save you some moola..:)

Not sure if your aware of it, but another great site for newbie builders is FFCars.com. It appears to still be the premier site for info, and quick responses for FFR builders.

Don't forget it's mandatory to post pictures of the arrival day!;)

Welcome teebee , where on Long Island ? there are plenty of FFR and other assorted "replica" owners on LI. Are you building FFR at your home or one of Dads shops ?

Thanks Everybody!!

Kenny, I'm in Manhasset, but I am going to be building the car in the Bronx at one of my dads places...As much as I would like to build it at home (I think it might be a little bit more fun at home, where at the shop it might feel like work....) the added resources and space at the shop would allow me to ensure a professional build and less headaches. I also plan on painting assorted pieces before installing them on the car, which is easier with a spray booth right there (for example I plan on painting the chassis a different color since everybody has black)

Where on Long Island are you from? I plan on bringing the car to Long Island as soon as it is done. I am glad to hear there are other FFR owners on LI. I take it there are car shows to attend? Is there a regional section on this site?
