So I've been trolling the forums recently doing some research and figured it's about time to introduce myself.

My name is Eric and I'm trying to figure out if the 818 is right for me. I live in Columbus, OH. I've done very minor car work before but would say my knowledge is intermediate. To be honest the build seems a little intimidating, mostly any body work that would need done as I wouldn't want to screw that up!!

Anyways, I think before I do any more research, I need to figure out if I would fit in a 818. I'm 6'5" 250lbs. Is there anybody on here that is similar in size? I'm curious how I would fit driving one. Is there anyone in the Columbus area that would be willing to let me sit in their 818? I'm okay with driving as I'm in sales and have Central and Southern OH as my territory.

The nnew fuel tank will help you with leg room... Hook up with Bob in Cinci... He's building several wookie compatible 818s!

Hi Eric,
I'm 6' 290# and my son is 6'3 285#
We moved the gas tank to the front box and custom bent a kirkey seat.
We fit very comfortably.
One car is in go kart stage and the outer is in glider stage.
I'm on the north side on Cincinnati. Come on down and check it out.

I will PM you my number.

In theses pictures, the diver side seat is modified and passenger side is not. My Knees are all the way down while Michaels are bent some.

Welcome Eric! Sounds like you head Bob's direction more, but if you find yourself North, I'm in Medina, OH. I have the thinner Boyd tank with aftermarket seats. It makes me comfortable with my 32" inseam. You're welcome to visit if you find yourself up this way.

Thanks Rich! I am up that way occasionally and will PM you if I am heading North :)
