I've been on the ffcars forum since I built a SB Roadster in 2002. Live near Pgh. and am presently building a Locost 7 (1957 racecar) from scratch with 2.3 Turbo'Bird power. I still rely on the Factory Five guys when I REALLY need a quick, accurate answer, not an opinion. It just works better with more builders assembling more cars, but the guys on the Locost site have been helpful thru the build.
More smiles coming soon,

Welcome aboard!!

We have another member, Eric Treves, who is building a LOCOST. Those cars seem like a TON of fun!

Any pics of your roadster or LOCOST?

David/Doug,
That's what I thought when I started the Locost. I reasoned that if 2300# and 325?? horses were fun, then 1300# and 190 should be a smile also.
The Lotus fiberglass pieces are presently out for paint, and all alum. ones are not in place, but mostly done except for tranny tunnel. I'm about at the assembly stage. And, as you can see, the Roadster is still in primer. Doesn't seem to affect performance, though. Heh, heh.
Let me see if I'm smart enough to add a picture of the Mk II or Locost?

Welcome! Keep us posted on the Locost project. I'm an old fan of the Ford 2.3 turbo. I would love to do one in a model A pick up.
