I have installed the LeMans cap on the roadster today with the FFR supplied hose which connects to the 93 Mustang filler neck.
In my case this didn't go like the manual suggests.
After cutting the filler neck and attaching the hose I find that the hose has a kink in it because it has to make a semi bend since the gas cap and mustang filler neck are offset from each other. See pics. How did you guys solve this on donor builds?

An S-shaped hose would solve this. just looking for a product or part number from guys who've solved this already.

Rotate the pipe upwards and cut the hose to fit.

Doug : in the rotated perpendicular direction, the mustang filler inlet is offset 4" horizontally from the gas cap. It does not line up.

Hey Jakester,
Your filler pipe seems to be a different type than mine. Sorry for the bad picture. Mine is a 2013 MKIV Complete kit. The filler pipe is longer and has more bends, it lines up almost perfectly with the gas cap. Maybe your should give FFR a call and see if they have more of my style laying around???

Here's an example of the stainless tube that Breeze sells. It curves forward as well as upward, to align with the filler cap.

I ran into the same problem installing the FFR supplied fuel filler hose.....................it just wouldn't make the bend without a kink.
I bought a section of a more flexible fuel filler hose from the local NAPA store and cut it to fit. Made the bend without any problems.
