I have had leak issues with the combo of rubber hose and steel fuel supply lines and after wrestling with it have scrapped the supplied lines in the kit.
I decided to go to Aeroquip braided fuel supply and return lines, I discovered that the "Ford" style fuel filter with nylon 3/8" white plastic adaptors supplied from FFR is in fact 5/16 inch diameter at the hose barb. This means that the AN-6 hose (3/8") is a loose fit to the filter fittings, I cannot source the correct size of nylon 3/8" fitting anywhere. There are 3/8 nylon fittings in black but they will not fit the filter!
I have been to several auto parts stores and there is no solution available it appears, O'Reilly came close but still no fitting would work, they have a kit with 5/16 and 3/8 nylon fittings but none fit.
Erik at "The Race Line" has a solution in a new filter that is black and looks to be an answer. I'll know in a couple of days. I have found Erik to be a great help and source of fuel fitting issues.
