Hey guys, has anyone got any input on tops or covers? I'm wanting to make some road trips and I want to be able to button up at hotels and cover up in rain? Any help would be great!

Whitby has a very nice top. Very functional. Keeps you dry, stores in the trunk. Put it on on 10 min. 7 if the big black clouds are coming.

Anyone try installing the original version from Cobra Restorers? I prefer their style of side curtains with the sliding lexan windows.

I suspect you cannot use c0bra restoreres because of the FFR roll bar hieght.
Got mine directly from Whitby's - they did the install. I'm very satisfied.

Whitby Top--it keeps some of the rain from falling on your head...however, the top also tends to make the rain irritated and doubly determined to enter any where it can, such as: the leading edge of the door, the windscreen post slot, the gap between the body and the firewall, wicking from the top of the door and onto the seat and thence into the high back seat, around the windscreen post and over the cowl, under the weatherstripping at the bottom of the windscreen, between the windscreen frame and the leading edge of the top.
Point is, do not for a moment imagine that the top makes the car weather-proof, and when the water comes into the cockpit it will evaporate because of the heat from the engine and then condense on your windows. Add to this the enormous blind spots, the minuscule rearview mirrors, and your strapped-in position and you will have very limited visibility. After three trips to open house, each with torrential downpours, believe you me, there is nothing as terrifying as this car with the top on in the rain.
As pleasant as this car is without the top, it is the polar opposite with the top on.
Al is correct though: the top stores in the boot and you have room to spare for the toothbrush and camera bag.

Below is an example of what you'll see, sort of. My A/C kept freezing over so it couldn't keep up with its defogging purpose. The picture is not doctored--you either see gray or fuzzy brake lights in front of you...and forget about trying to change lanes because you have no visibility to the sides or rear.

Because of the fogged over windows, somehow got lost and ended up crossing Manhattan on 37th street.
