Hot Rod mag always seems to give the Factory Five team great press in both print and video coverage. I personally think it would be great to have a huge squad of FFR cars on hand for this event. And not just owners, I'm talking about filling up the Factory Five semi with some of their cars and get some people in the magazine in them, or invite some high profile people to drive them in this event to get some extra coverage. Anyway, I'm just spit balling ideas.

I think that idea came to mind because I would need a co-pilot for this event. Everyone I know here is tied during that week. So for right now my vote would be not sure/maybe. But if I can find one for this event, count me in!!!

Hey Gang,

Please consider being at least part of this event if you think you can spare the time and traverse the distance.
While I won't have my MK-4 ready, we will be taking a car or two or possibly three.

Steve,

You do realize that post is from last year's power tour. This one starts on June 11th in Baton Rouge, LA and finishes in Kansas City. I will be doing the tour this year in my challenge car. I've never done this before so really looking forward to the experience.

I did the power tour in 2008 in my Magnum SRT8 and it was ideal for a road trip. You will have a lot of fun and meet a lot of great people along the way.
When it ends in KC I will be in BG KY at the hotrod re-union and nostalgia drags so I will miss the event when it hits my home town but here's some advice from a local.
After the tour ends stay an extra day and see the world war one memorial/museum, go to the steamboat Arabia museum and have a meal at Rosedale BBQ.
<They have been cooking at that location for 80 years, so skip the newbie BBQ's all over town, bring a friend and have a little of everything on the menu.

You should start a new thread with the 2016 info and see how many of us are going to this one. It was a fun week for me.
