Can anyone tell me how long the FFR mufflers will blow glass? I cant really be around my car when it is running unless I wear a mask. It has been on a dyno getting tuned for quite a long time but still sprays glass. Do I simply need to get new mufflers? Help!

None of the ones I built did that. I would call FFR

OK, will do. I have read others complaints my situation seems a bit extreme.

Its hard to outrun when you're stuck on a chassis dyno!! I think the other forum had more discussion on blowing glass. Perhaps you should take a count on the neighborhood cats and if none are missing get a set of flowmasters. The FFR exhaust is second only to the fuel tank in customer satisfaction. Let us know how you make out. :)

I have never read about any fiberglass problems with the 33 mufflers, only the roadster side-pipes. My mufflers do not blow any glass.

I put Magnaflows on before I finished with the exhaust because of what I read about the showers of fiberglass after first start and on going showers. My mufflers sound good and no particulates seen so far.
I have had fuel leaks and trans oil leaks due to a cheap flaring tool, I finally got a good quality one from Summit so we'll see tonight if that fixes my leaks, the tool is much better and you can see why it does work correctly ($240.00) vs. $25.

i have the FFR supplied mufflers and have never noticed any fiberglass coming out. They seem to work fine and if anything are a little too quiet.

The snow coming out of my mufflers finally abated after 3 days on the dyno and a couple more start/stops. The poor guy tuning my engine suffered through three days of fiber snow, wearing a respirator and trashing his dyno booth :(. Thanks for all the advice above. Much appreciated as always!
Here is a video of a pull on the third day, notice the snow storm.

That video shows it perfect. Minle looked the same out in the sun. Driving or in the shade I could not see it but when I stopped, little sparkly fibers all over. Can't be good to breathe. I am changing my mufflers.

I'm with the other 50%, I did not have any fiberglass either. Maybe a change was made at some point; I have #422 picked up in March of 2012???

That's why I gave mine to Mike E. and went Magnaflows. But am having issues getting them to seal even cutting a compression slice out of the mufflers, so I bought a SS spool for my MIG and will weld them up. No room to use the SS band clamps I bought, so it's a welding I will go.

Pictures please!! I think I am going with the 40 series flowmasters.
