So...the 17x8 +35 5x100 Rota torque is very rare. There is probably no chance of purchasing them individually.

If i got a set of four 17x8 +35s and four 18x9.5 +35s would anyone be interested in buying a set from me?? I plan to soda blast and powder coat whatever i can find a gunmetal.

It sounds to me like these are the most ideal size. They should be pretty nice and concave since there would be no need for spacers.

I think you are referring to Drew. Wheelhelp@t3hclap.com The guy is amazing. I gave him a "donation" (though he will help for free) for helping me maximize the wheels for my STi track car.
If anyone can figure out a good solution it would be Drew.

Why not re-tool for 5 X 114? Might be less misery.

I would love to, but how can i without affecting offset requirements?

what do you plan on doing if you bend one?

I think he means "a wheel". I am not an expert with earlier WRX stuff and I don't even know what you're building, but I didn't have an issue putting the '06 STi rear uprights on my R. You would have an axle issue. They are not any more than one semi-expensive wheel.

Offset...shmoffset. Should not be a deal-breaker that wheels with the right offset and rim width can't handle.

Got it. I have an 818s i am building. If someone could come up with a walkthrough to use a 5x114.3, they would be a very liked person ;) I want the concave look, so i would like to get the correct offset with the wheel rather than using spacers.

I could be wrong but the "anorexic look" isn't going to happen with an 818. It's mostly +35ish. On the rear it would help.
OTOH, if I succeed, I will have +49 wheels on my front.
Do some searches or Googling of the 818 forums. There's a lot to read.

I hear you. I have been following all the comments and from what i can tell, the absolute largest rim in rear is 9.5 width and +35 looks like the most concave possible. In the front it sounds like best offset is +32 acheived with spacers. If the front did not have spacers there is a slight concave look.

I like the concave look because that is what most, if not all high end sports car has.
