While attending the build school it was suggested that a clutch pedal safety switch be installed. Well I'm to the point now where I need to. I'm sure I could take my brake light switch to autozone and eventually come up with one, but if someone out there could narrow the search with a make and model that surely would help out.

I used the neutral switch on my TKO600 and wired into the clutch safety switch circuit.

That's what I was planning, but going mid-shift negates the functionality of the neutral switch on a TKO. Not sure what the OP Tom is running.

Just something else to deal with. Go old style and forget it.

I used the switch from the 88 Gt. It has (2) normally open circuits. I used one set and left the other pair of leads on the switch if I need to use it in the future.

Mister7,
I used the neutral switch in the trans harness. It is the surest safety device in that it does not require any action by you (depress clutch). If you fail to take the trans out of gear, you can't start the car.

Based on the info from my build school, i used a second brake light switch that I got directly from factory five. I think it was $5. I made the mistake of deciding to do this a little later than I should have and it caused me to have to disassemble my completed pedal box. Like most parts of this car, I feel like I have taken it apart and put it together a thousand times. I"m such a rookie.

I just wired mine into a momentary switch hidden under the dash. This way if someone reached in and turned the key, it wouldn't start.

I appreciate all the help. Actually found a stop light switch at advanced auto thanks DaleG. Going with the clutch pedal switch set up.
What's with the pedal hitting the 1" tube and really limiting the clutch pedal travel.? Do you adjust the pedal stop to prevent this? Will that be enough travel?

Unfortunately this is a common problem and often discussed. You need to have clutch pedal movement all the way to the floor. Discussed here, among others:
