This is another good option: http://store.secondskinaudio.com/damplifier/

They have some "B-stock" usually available that is very cheap too.

Im reading lots of negative reviews of it "leaking" at temps above 70*F. Have you had this issue? Is it a bad batch they received?

Have you considered a spray/roll on deadner? I have used GTMatt on both of my Factory Five cars.

GTmat looks to be even cheaper than the Eastwood Thermocoustic. Are there any downsides to it? Application or otherwise?

I applied it to my GTM myself and Wallace applied it to my 818. It was very easy to use and a gallion was more then enough for the GTM. It made a huge difference when it came to taking the tin sound out of the panels, they have many products but I only used the roll on and I am very happy with the results.

I have used a product called Fat-Mat in three builds with success. It is similar to DynaMat and the others at about 1/2 the price. I live and drive in 100 degree plus heat in the summer and never had a problem with "melting".

I'm going to throw out the ultra-basic option. I used this simply to take out the tin sound from some of the panels and provide a bit of insulation from the footbox heat in the roadster. This stuck to the aluminum and I put the carpet right on top of it. If you are looking for anything more significant, there are some great suggestions above.

I've sprayed at least one side of my Al panels with 3M rubberized undercoat. That alone helps to deaden the metallic resonance, adds almost no weight, and give a decent matte black finish (if sprayed properly). I'm adding EZCool for additional insulation in certain areas as well.

Summit has a version of "Dynamat". It's called Hushmat. I like it about as much as the Dynamat. They are compare very well on things such as ease of handling and installation. It is cheaper than Dynamat.

WEK.

If you want something lightweight and different; have a look at this stuff. I've also seen rolls for sale on ebay:

Some discussion about it and someone selling it:
