I have seen a few guys on here with the NRG fixed bucket seats. I get my seats monday and have an idea how I am gonna do seat mount but do any of you guys have pics of your mounts or mounts with sliders?
Cheers

I am using momo fixed seats and momo aluminum brackets. Most bolt brackets directly to frame and when that isnt possible (due to alignment issue), weld in steel to the frame in whatever location is needed to bolt to the brackets to the added steel.

That is the way I was thinking of going but was also trying to see slider set ups as well for ideas,Thanks

Not a NRG, but concept should be similar.
Anyone see any issues bolting through the sliders here:

And through the frame at aprox the points indicated?

Seems very easy, quick, and solid. The sliders on our Sparco's will easily clear the frame to slide even if the lower portion of the bracket is bolted straight to the frame.

I see no issue and that is exactly what I planned on doing myself, minus the sliders (my torso is too d*mn long for the added height of sliders). Unfortunately, it doesn't appear my brackets will line up with the frame in the spots you show so some welding is going to be in order for me.
Hey, I have those same floor pads... Walmart specials!

Lumpyguy I just picked up some NRG seats from forum member Erik Hansen this weekend. They look pretty close to the Sparcos xxguitarist posted above. I've been test fitting and they don't look like they'll line up perfectly with the X bar in the car so I'm planning to bolt a 3/8 x 1.5" steel bar to the frame and then bolt seat brackets or sliders to that. I haven't figured out if I'm going to use the sliders that came with the NRGs or not yet. Would be nice for my wife.

I have the nrg seats also. I plan on cutting out the X and replace with 1x2 rectangle tubing running with the seat rails. I also 're drilled the seat bracket for a little more recline.

Ours might not line up perfectly either, but it's easy to re-drill the slider to match the X brace.

Cool, sounds good. You could probably also redrill the brackets?
Our sliders are only adding about 1" of height I think, but trust me, I'd like to get farther below the roll bar too.

The issue for me is that the brackets sit pretty far out to the side. The further from seat center you go, the wider apart the bars of the "X" spread and in my case, it looks like the front of my bracket might not even cross the front bars of the "X".

Ah! That'd do it. Ours overhang slightly.

I used Sparco sliders (since they have FIA approval) and Planted brackets mounted to a 1/8" steel floor, seat sits just over 1.5" from the floor. I will use an I/O Port adjustable seat back brace attached to the underside of the 1.5" square tube that is part of the rear hoop.

How much foward adjustment do you get with that slider?
Does the seat clear the angle brace in front of the seat?

In the R you will never clear the brace and pass the roll cage height test for racing (unless you are under 5 feet tall), so I can adjust about 5" in total all the way back against the rear firewall and all the way forward to the cross brace.

On our S, with the brackets pictured above, we have less than 2" of adjustment range between the seat hitting the firewall & hitting the front angle brace. Enough for me & Tamra to both be in a good position, but that's just because our legs are very close in length.
The seat is well below the angle brace, and definitely hits it.
FFRSpec must have a seat that is shorter for the under-thighs area, or more upright to clear the firewall better.

Rear Firewall is pushed back about 4.5" as I'm using a custom FIA fuel cell, thus I get the 5" travel, as I'm 6' and my daughter is 5'2" so we needed a way to get her comfortable

That makes sense!
Did you pull the pedals a ways towards the seat also?
Tamra and I have good pedal reach with the seat where it normally fits, and we're not 5'2", I'm 5'11", and theoretically sitting 4.5 inches in front of you, or 1" behind her (and she shares seating position with Tamra at around 5'6")
