I was hoping one of the oil or math experts could help me calculate the amount of oil required for my set up. I have seen all kinds of varying info and not quite sure.

I have a Coyote Champ Pan, Remote filter mounted at the "X" brace and an oil cooler mounted in the lower front grill area. I am using all -10 lines and the oil cooler is 4.5" x 14"

Any help would sure be appreciated.

Just fill the pan with oil till it reads full on the dipstick, start engine let it idle for a bit. Turn off engine and refill till its full. When you change the oil, the oil lines and cool most likely won't drain out much oil.

Rich is correct. But make sure your dipstick is "calibrated" to your pan, otherwise you may get an erroneous reading. To make sure, fill the pan as Rich says and idle the engine to fill all the passages. Then make a series of measurements with a ruler to confirm that the full mark on the dipstick is slightly below the level of the bottom of the block. If the stick is too short, it won't read full until the oil level level is too high. This will result in the bottoms of the connecting rods hit the oil and cause foaming. I have a Moroso pan with a capacity of nine quarts. The listed oil capacity of original SMF engines is five quarts, so anything above that should be fine unless you're doing serious track time. The Champ Pans site shows numerous products but no capacities. Good luck.
