818 Turbo 2.25” Under-Valence Center Exit Exhaust systems by Quiet Pipes are now available to order from Breeze Automotive.
Quiet Pipes announces NEW Under-Valence Center Exit 818 exhaust systems. They are designed to fit all 818's including those with the latest trunk design.
These systems are two-piece, for ease of installation. There are two choices of upper pipe, one with a 49-State Legal (check regs in your state) Magnaflow ™ catalytic converter, the other with a Quiet Pipes baffled muffler (not a glasspack). There are two lower configurations available; a straight tube which gives you the choice of running as-is or installing your own tip, and another with a Monza style glass packed twin tip resonator already installed. Both styles exit under the rear valence in the center. These systems fit both standard and diffuser fitted cars with appropriate clearance, both to the road, and the body. The exhaust clears the rear valence by 1-1/4", leaving plenty of room for a diffuser. The bottom of the exhaust is 3/4" higher than the bottom plane of the frame offering good ground clearance. Either top section will fit either lower section, giving four possible combinations.
These systems utilize a USA made bell mouth and turbo flange, and 2 1/4" 16 ga. (.065" wall) quality U.S. made tubing. They are mandrel bent, and welded in the U.S. by a premier fabricator with over 50 years experience in custom header and exhaust system fabrication. Please note the quality of welds, bends, and forming in the photos at www.breezeautomotive.com.
The system can be painted, or ceramic coated by the customer. The units are jig built for consistency. One O2 sensor bung is included. An additional bung can be added and located per customer request. Hardware and gasket for connecting the upper to lower sections is included.
Customer supplies the gasket and hardware between the turbo and the exhaust system.
A support bracket recommended to attach the back of the system to the transaxle. Order Breeze #70728 or fabricate your own.
The quietest of the 4 available systems is the #70727 which combines the Quiet Pipes muffler in the upper section with the Monza resonator in the lower section. Next quietest is the #70725 which combines the catalytic converter upper with the Monza resonator lower. Next quietest is the #70726 Quiet Pipes muffler and the straight tube lower, and finally the #70724 combination of catalytic converter and straight tube lower.
In the testing and development of this product, seven different design mufflers were evaluated, and three different converters evaluated before we were satisfied with the sound performance and fit. This has been a three month project, with much research, homework, testing, and development. Extremely tight room constraints was a major factor, and sound quality and clean design was the goal.
Breeze is taking orders now. This is not a group buy and all systems are made to order. Estmated lead time to shipment is 3-4 weeks after order. We ask your patience as we continue to take and upload photos. There is already plenty to see at www.breezeautomotive.com. Just enter 818 in the EzeSearch box in the upper right corner.
Quietpipes hope you enjoys the product as much as our four man development and fabrication team enjoyed the challenge!
Note the offset rear grille exit systems are also still available!
