OK fellas, I know I'm paining my Roadster Blue with White Racing Stripes for the Classic Cobra look. Just not exactly sure what color of Blue, I'm leaning towards more of the darker blues..? but would like to see all shades to decide.

So all you Blue Guys out there lets get a thread that documents pictures of your Blue Beasts with the Color Name and/or Paint Code! Hopefully by the time i'm ready for paint this thread will have helped me decide!

Here are some that I have seen that I really like but have no Idea what the Color is?

I had the same dilemma when deciding to paint mine. I always knew I wanted blue w/ white stripes, but which blue & white was the tough part.
I also wanted to try to stick to Ford colors (Chevy Corvette Blue or Dodge Viper Blue just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason).
I noticed a guy at work had a 2010-ish Blue Mustang with White Stripes, so I left a note on his car one night and asked to talk to him.
He informed me that is was a 2011 Mustang, Vista Blue with Performance White stripes. I liked the look of it in the parking garage under the florescent lights, but when he parked it outside in bright daylight, WOW! I REALLY liked it!! (to that point, make sure you review the colors under multiple lights, they DO CHANGE!)
I couldn't find a paint code or paint formula, but I just told my painter 2011 Ford Vista Blue and Performance White. He did tell me it has a lot of Silver Metal Flake and some Pearl.
I like it in the sun, it really pops with the metal flake.
(btw, I think your pictures are: top: Indigo Blue, bottom: Guardsman Blue (not sure about the middle one?)
YES, MANY Blues to choose from. Good Luck!

Classic Guardsman Blue with "Wimbleton" white stripes, done by 'da Bat:

This first shot is color skewed....
http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26469&d=1393258027

These two are pretty accurate:
http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10786&d=1342915656

http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8526&d=1333088605

The White is actually a modern color, but the Guardsman is straight out of the PPG chart for a '65 Mustang.

I'll look up the codes for you, or you can use your BAT phone and contact Jeff directly...

HTH,

:)

The top one appears to be Lexus Indigo Ink Pearl. Paint code 8p4. I think it is the single most popular Cobra color.
Check the whites also. Two popular ones are Wimbledon, which is creamy (on the wrong blue it can look a little yellow) and GM Arctic which is a crisp white.

A little dusty in this picture, but you get an idea of the paint.

I've always thought that this color really shows off the curves in the Factory Five cars.

My roadster was painted my Jeff Miller. I wanted something close to Guardsman Blue and Wimbledon White. PPG Sapphire Blue Std. Metallic #190386 (Lada 652) and Stone White( like Wimbledon White) PPG # 5072. The blue color has a bit of green tint in some lighting conditions. Here are photos in shade and bright lighting.

That looks great. Your signature says solid dark blue but do you have a color code?
