i will post pictures in the next couple of days showing what I had to trim
on the fenders, bumper and hood to make all of this work together.

some details
the upper eyelid of the fender has to almost be sanded off. this allows the fender to come down and match the hood vertically
i cut out allot of the buckets to make the lamp set down in the bucket. the lamp has to set low as possible for the front edge of the fender to match the hood.
i now know the front bottom of the headlight must set down in the bucket to work.
also, the bumper must be cut out to make it set back far enough. can not match up the lower middle of the bumper with the bumper too far forward. I copied the alum bracket made from1.5" alum angle from one of my fellow builders show on this blog somewhere.i will show pics this week.
i cut off the outboard tab on the light and am replacing it with another tab.
i am 99% there more info on sun or monday The front edge of the fender still has to come outboard about 5 mm ( lots of sanding and test fitting is required.)

Please post pictures when you can. Im currently also assembling these parts - still very nervous to trim, as too much is more difficult to fix. I've read several good threads - but although the description is good - without closeup good images I struggle to fully understand exactly what is required to be trimmed and by how much. I'll appreciate your picture and updates...

I got the hood and fenders mounted to an acceptable point, when I went to mount the windshield surround I was stumped again. I will need to trim the hood and fender points down to almost nothing to get them to fit.

Fit the windshield then fenders/hood/nose. Any other order makes you do double work. The whole procedure is in the tips and tricks.

Thanks Wayne, I have read and watched these - and they are very helpful. Specifically I'm looking for details relating to trimming the headlamp buckets, and good images from what people have found to work the best.
