Hi everyone, thought I would introduce myself here. 51 year old life long lover of the automotive seen. I am a carpenter with my own company. Married for 25 years and have 3 young adult kids. Two live at home and the oldest is in the army. I have always dreamed of building my own hot rod. Over the years the type has changed but not the desire. Once married and kids, etc. that all get in the way oh and a bit of money of course. After hearing about the FF cars I took a look and started asking questions. This looks doable for a guy like me. Will someday build a 33 hot rod, my favourite unless they come up with a 56 Ford pick up real soon. My oldest, the army boy is a mechanic and a motor head as well. He would love to see me build as well. My youngest is starting to get interested in cars as well and has shown some interest in helping as well. I think this would be a great father/sons project. In the past I did have a small race car for a couple of years. Raced in the class call legends. Brain freeze and cannot remember who builds them but they are all the same. Spec class racing, very fast and lots of fun until a blew a motor and to get a new one out of the USA was $10k. Helped my son for a bit as he to raced but in mini stock. Have worked for the last 4 years at the track as a mascot. That has been fun for sure. Son sold race car after joining the army.
So back to the car of my dreams, thinking it will be full fendered, hard top. Looking at buying a turn key motor and trans. 302 with about 350 Hp. Lots of chrome as it will be a driver but also a show car. All about competition of course. It will be red in colour some day as well.
Anyone out here from this part of the world, would love to talk to other FF owners, drivers, builders.

thanks
Marten

Hi Marten, The 33 is a great ride. I built a 33 and I'm located in Montreal. It will be on display at the Montreal Auto Show. If you would like to see one in person or need any send me a email. tospiros@hotmail.com.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome. Will spend some time lurking around long before I will be able to build. As I have questions I will be sure to ask.
