Is there some repository of manual updates for the 818? If not, are we supposed to get some notification of them? How do we download copies?

Thanks,

Buzz

I'm mostly interested in update 1J, but it would be nice if they are all in one location.

unless I missed a recent update, they are only at 1i.

This thread has been tracking them.

Correction! Here is 1J. Never saw a notification on this one.

Thanks, STiPWRD. I have the 1H PDF, and billjr212's link to the 1J update works.

I appreciate the offer, though

Seriously!?!? We really need a better way to find out about this stuff. I'm already going to have to drill a whole new set of holes in my frame to remount the shifter, just because I didn't know 1J existed. How are we supposed to keep up on the revisions?

*Frustrating*

I used the search function, but for some reason didn't see the thread that Evan78 started. It's here, for all the other search impaired folk

I highly recommend staying up to date on revisions. It will save you LOTS of time and extra holes in your frame

I completely agree. It shouldn't be that hard to send a mass email to 818 owners when manual revisions are released. Cleaning up the paper work is a simple thing that an intern can do and it would save a lot of frustration for the builders.

To be fair, FFR was sending out mass emails through Revision 1i. I'm not sure what happened on these last few though - seems someone may have dropped the ball. I could have also missed the more recent emails, but I doubt it based on the comments here so far.

Thanks, Billjr212. I've downloaded the 1L and 1M updates since they had not been sent to me by Factory Five.
Yes, there should be a way we can get the Full Manual when it is revised because at least one update didn't include all revisions - that cost me $300 because I bought the wrong front tires. Please, FFR find a way.
