I'm in a quandary trying to figure out the correct method for wiring the Ididit steering column. On page 141 of manual version 1L, there is a diagram of the wire match-ups between the steering column and chassis harness.

I've melded the 4 power block connectors of the dash wiring harness with the 4 connectors off the main harness. When working from the dash harness side to hook up the wires to the steering column's 4 1/2" male connector block is where I run into to several questions. Lets start with the white (right rear turn) that connects to N on the steering column, and light blue (right front turn) that connects to J on the steering column. Here is the termination of those wires on the dash harness.

The white wire is not problem. I'll just clip it at the connector and attach it to a column connector shown below:

But as you can see, there are two light blue wires terminating. One clearly reads right front turn, but the other light blue wire has no printing. Question 1 - are both light blue wires suppose to be attached to a column connector? If not, what happens with the light blue wire without the printing?

A similar situation arises with the green left front turn wire, as shown below:

There are two green wires terminating at the connector with one clearly showing left front turn. But the other green wire has no printing. Question 2 - are both green wires suppose to be attached to a column connector? If not, what happens with the green wire without the printing?

The last issue involves the grey wire. There are several grey wires included in the dash wiring harness, but one reads turn flasher fd.

Question 3-is that the wire that should be attached to a column connector and then placed in position L of the 4 1/2" male connector block?

The pink wire is easily identifiable and I'll clip off the connector and attach it to a column connector and then place the column connector in position K of the 4 1/2" mail connector block. And the last wire is the white wire coming off the steering column wiring block. I'll clip off the connector, attach female spade connector, and attach it to the other spade connections on the brake pedal switch.

Thanks for helping get me through this wiring stumbling block by answering my three questions.

Tim, I think there was a pdf that came out to explain this issue in detail. The early manuals didn't do well explaining the process and I don't have the most recent revision. Perhaps a bump will help get an answer.

Thanks Geof, but I took a flyer and completed that portion of the build with the guidance of members like you. Hopefully I connected everything correctly.
