Earlier this summer I had a irritating leak on my Moroso Oil Pan (Coyote Motor) that I could not seem to resolve in anyway. I tried tightening, loosening, tape, and even sealing washers, and nothing worked. I felt pretty ticked that on this brand new car and brand new engine I was going to be forever dealing with a leak and stained garage floor. It sucked.
But I lucked into finding a company that was not yet providing their solution to the public, but they let me try it. And it just worked from the very first moment. End of leak and end of frustration. Best part is that it was a sub $10 fix.
The product is by a company called SMART-O, and essentially they've designed an oil plug with an o-ring built into the threads, that expands when it gets engine oil on it. How brilliant, and simple (I like simple things that work!). Additionally, it can be reused, and because it seals so well, you don't have to worry about over torquing the plug too much, and it won't vibrate loose.
I've attached a picture, and a link to the product now that it is on Amazon. You just need to figure out the thread size you need, and place the order. (here's the link if
interested)

Let me know if you try it. This was a really frustrating issue, and I was so thrilled to get such a simple (and cheap) fix that I thought I'd share and hopefully save everyone else the frustration if possible. I'd be very interested to hear what everyone else thinks.
