Probably a simple answer.

I have a 4-link rear from a 93 Mustang donor. I noticed the rear is riding a little low compared to the front as viewed from the side and especially noticable with two passengers.

I think what I need to do to raise the ride height is:
1) Release the tension on the rear springs by removing the wheels and jacking the rear frame.
2) Detach the lower control arm/axle connection point.
3) Then hand lower (reverse screw motion) the springs down lower onto the spring perch.

Not sure about step 2. Can anyone confirm?

If I remember correctly, you can also do it by detaching the lower control arm to frame attachment point - I am fairly certain that's how I did it once before switching to the coil overs. Don't think it matters which of the 2 ways you do it as long as you have the frame on jack stands and then the ability to work/control the suspension movement a bit with a regular jack.

Success : here's what I did.
1) Unbolted restraining straps.
2) Jacked up the frame, which released spring tension.
3) Turned the spring 1/2 revolution clockwise.
4) Removed the jack.
5) Re-attached straps.

Done : 20 minutes both sides.

I know, someday I'll update to coil-over. But not today.

Just remember, with nothing to really keep the springs from turning back to where you started in the beginning, this may be a futile effort.

One of the other members posted this. I'll look to install something similar. Thanks for the reminder.

A rubber spring spacer like used in Nascar works and is cheap and easy to install.
