Spring Rates with IRS

Anyone replaced the supplied coil over springs on a IRS equipped vehicle? And maybe added a sway bar?

Some here have said that the rates for all mk4 are stiff because the kit does not come with a sway bar. So, if anyone has sprates and or info on what sway to use to help the body roll.

I think a 750 pound spring creates a firm ride, but not uncomfortable. I use an 850# spring, but I drive on the track a lot. If it was a track only car, I'd probably use a 1,000# spring.

I do use a sway bar, but only on the track. I disconnect it for street use.

The brand of spring you use does matter. The standard Koni spring is OK. But an Eibach spring of the same rate will perform much better.
