Anyone hav e a DCT in their 33? I've got bad knees and heel and toeing is out. Will FFR get a version of the Mustang Powershift for use in the kit cars?
Why not just go with an automatic tranny? You will enjoy the increased foot room as a side benefit as well.
What is a "Mustang Powershift" ?

powershift is the new getrag DCT for the Focus. Rumour has it that they are making one for the 2013 Mustang. I like manual shifting just can't do it for too long now. DCT would let me do that.

I feel kind of stupid, I'm not familiar w/ a DCT so I did a bit of surfing and now I get it. BUT, how does the transmission engage the clutch from a stop? Is that done by the computer too?

My daily driver has this type of transmission (VW DSG - similar engineering to the Porsche DPK) - one of the clutches is [essentially] always engaged, either the one for the even number gears or the one for the odd number gears, and the transmission 'swaps' back and forth as you progress through the gears. At a stop, the transmission automatically goes back to 1st gear and starts over.
