I saw the couple of photos of the Ford Ecoboost '33 but unfortunately there wasn't much info on it. Can we assume it's the twin turbo v6? I like what they did down near the frame rails with ducting. Is there an intercooler tucked away in there?

Any further description would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

I was able to answer a lot of questions here:
http://www.stangtv.com/features/pri-coverage/pri-2013-ford-racings-releases-ecoboost-3-5-liter-crate-engine/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pri-2013-ford-racings-releases-ecoboost-3-5-liter-crate-engine

I like the final appearance they had at the SEMA show.

It's been slow to be released by ford Racing. I even sent them an email about it a while back asking when they were going to release more photos and info about it and they said "it's coming". Pretty cool build, wonder if they are going to offer it with a plug and play computer for hot rods?

It was the twin turbo 3.5L V6. It was out in front of the main hall.

I took a couple of pictures of the EcoBoost 33 Hot Rod, they are attached.
I was told it was built by Ford motor company for a test vehicle; they did a nice job with the scoops on the side for the intercoolers.
I layed down and looked under the chassis to see what kind of mufflers they installed and found there were no mufflers! just straight pipes, I was
surprised as it was not loud at all. Also, the paint job was top notch.

please forgive some of the poor pictures, the sun was very bright and causing reflection problems.

Nevin,

Thanks for the additional photos. I like the look with the single roll over hoop. With all the ducting for the air intakes and intercoolers there's not as much extra room as I might have thought there would be in the engine bay.

How cool is it that Ford buys a FFR to use as a test mule!!! They did a very nice job on fit and finish for this project.

Best regards, Tom

I saw this car at SEMA last week and it is very impressive to see in person. Pictures just can't convey all the little things done to make it work together so well.
There were so few 33's at SEMA this year but the ones there were stellar. Erik's E818 was very cool and well done as always.
Dave Smith stepped up again and bought cocktails at the event that EH put together, class acts all around.

Hi Dale,

There were so few 33's at SEMA this year...............

Maybe I should have driven my bug splattered 11K mile five year old #007 to the show just so people can see just how nice the latest ones are!
