View Full Version : Firewall Bracket/Support for Heater Unit

This is my first build and when I mounted the FFR heater/defroster to the firewall, I felt that this was flimsy. I fabricated the below firewall bracket support to mount near the heater unit and tie the firewall to the vertical dash support. I drilled some pass through holes for wiring, but does anyone see any issues with this installation before I rivet it in place? Ran through the FFR manual, and can not see anyplace where this would obstruct or defeat further build components...

It's similar to mine. Should not pose any problems.

The bracket looks good. I was also worried about the firewall flexing as I've got A/C and heat so I went with a thicker firewall and added supports. Made everything much more solid.
