View Full Version : What do you look like?

One thing I always find interesting is meeting people in person that I've only met online and mentally comparing how they look vs what I thought they looked like. The Subaru club had a thread like this a while back where everyone posted a pic of themselves.

Are you two under a car held up with just a pump jack in that picture!?! Scary. I'd need jack stands or at least a couple of wheels under there too in case the jack gives up or someone accidentally releases it. I've had cars slip off jacks enough times to never crawl under one without something there to prevent a gruesome accident.

I once dated a woman who's ex-husband was paralyzed from the waist down by doing the same thing without jack stands.

Sorry about the photo, we have jackstands that you cannot see in the photo up past the rear wheels. I wouldn't get under the car either unless it was on stands and had been given a really good shake.

I think so far Scargo and Sponaugle are the most different from how I pictured them. Scargo, in my mind, was mid 40's at best. Sponaugle was more of a t-shirt and baseball cap kind of guy in my head, something like Paul Walker. This is why I find threads like this fun. I find that I tend to subconsciously make everyone unknown to me within 5-10years of my age.

That is hilarious... and true. Actually those pictures are not the most representative of me because I do indeed wear a tshirt (of some superhero variety) to work everyday.. funny that the two I picked had me in a dress shirt which I am not fond of these days.
