I've had my car at a friends shop for the past few weekends, as we were working on the undercar exhaust. We finally got to finish it up yesterday, and I figured what better time for the first go kart, than a drive home! My fiancé tailed behind me as we made the trek home about 14 miles. It drove great! This is definitely the most fun car I've had.

The exhaust goes from 2.5" round to 3" oval, back to 3" round for the magnaflow muffler. Muffler is 4x9, and fit right up in the car underneath the seat. Ride height on rear is at 4.5" right now, and muffler to ground clearance is 3.5" We will probably improve the 2.5" section in the future, but for now it works awesome. Still need to add some type of turndown at the muffler end. Also, yes that is a stock pan and it is VERY low! A new pan is on the parts list!

Nice job and the ground clearance is about what others have without going through the 4" frame tubes. That side picture shows why the low profile pans are needed.

Nice job, Will! I took a similar approach with my under-car exhaust and couldn't be more pleased. One thing you might consider is applying high-temperature black paint to the muffler and pipes. I did this on mine, so from the side the exhaust system is almost invisible. I like to deep rumble I get from the system, and am happy I don't have to worry about burning my leg on the side pipes.

Finally got this thing to load! Please excuse the wind noise, this is on a stretch of road I always add a mark on. I'll try and get some idle and rev video outside the car this weekend.

David, planning on wrapping the pipes, but I kinda like the stainless muffler lol. Still not positive on what I'm doing there.

Nice! Sounds real good. Will, are you going to exit in front of the rear wheel like lake pipes?

Thanks for the video.

Tell us more and post some PICs!
Looks and sounds great, should be a blast with that engine. Very cool!
