I figured an oil pressure and boost gauge would make a good addition to the car but I'm curious how others installed the oil pressure sender? there doesn't seem to be enough room under the alternator. Is there another spot that works? The factory sender almost hits the alternator now, if I put a tee in it will definitely hit. Any pics of your installed setups would be greatly appreciated. I have also seen the gauges mounted in the dash and the center console. I'm thinking dash so I don't have to look to far down, opinions?

I ran the oil temp off a rear port plug (near turbo), then I got a 90 degree tee for the oil pressure near the alternator (so it would fit). I also added a water temp by using a new "u" hose and adapter off the heater loop. Everything works great. you will need to buy some weird adapters because the block is BPT not NPT. I used VDO gauges.

Where did you find the adaptors? I assume it would be a big male BPT to 1/8 female NPT like the factory sender screws into.

Stri and plx devices for me. The stri match the Sti gauge cluster red and the plx device can be 32 gauges in one, along with data log capability and other features offered.3476934770
I am running post/pre iat, egt, charging system, Afr wide band with plx, and oil press and boost with stri. I am prob going to get oil temp and another temp gauge and modules for HE core for the plx setup. No stone unturned this time, I gotta know what going on and set warning lights and buzzers at safe levels.

I would still need a oil pressure sender wouldn't I? The factory sender is just a switch not a variable resistor isn't it?

There's a module for this with sender, do you mean for tablet etc? I am pretty sure you need the sender, but I have the plx multi gauge and not the iPhone or tablet module yet so I am not certain. I can guess that the oil press's works with a sender for either setup. Plx has great customer service and can help.

Thats similar to what my plan is... The new Cobb AP lets you select up to 6 guages to display from the OBD port.
