When I get in the car I push the floormat forward with my foot and it humps up. Well, l the hump caused the gas pedal to get stuck behind it. I did not panic. I shut it down, I have manual steering and brakes. Took the next driveway. Took out the floormat. Put in the trunk. I think I said a few choice words. So, any good ideas on tacking it in place?

Thanks for the link! It was quite the wake up. It was probably the longest burnout I've ever done. I had people giving me the thumbs up. If they only knew!

You can either use some OEM type hooks, snaps, or other fixment or, alternatively, some of the older British stuff like the lift-the-dot posts and clips that are made just for this (available from Moss Motors). I used the later on mine - see the ffcars thread above for a pic and details.
