Hopefully I did enough troubleshooting already that someone will be able to point me in the right direction. I do not have any dash lights, regardless of dimming setting or light switch position. I have an 07 donor. I did very little dieting, but a good amount of extending. Starting at fuses 11,12, & 13, I checked all my fuses in the interior panel. All are good. I checked the 20 amp fuses in the engine bay panel and those are good. There is power to the system. The violet wire and the OrW white wires both have battery power. They will both power a light when connected to ground through the light.

I checked the blue wire in the dimmer circuit against the GrW and ground wires and get a varying ohm resistance. I forget the actual values, but they were repeatable in each position. Varied from 5-ish ohms to 30-ish kohms if memory serves me at all. It seems there is dimming control.

It seems the body integrated unit controls sending OrW to ground to turn the dash lights on. It may also be applying 12v power to that wire but I can't tell yet. The voltage drops to 8 volts on both V and OrW when the headlight switch is turned off. Parking brake doesn't have an effect that I can tell. It looks like the blue or GrW wires tie into ground after the ebrake switch. So ground seems to be my issue with the body integrated unit not doing its job.

Before I go buy another integrated unit, I thought it was a good idea to check here (already spent some time online). Anything I could be missing? I've read these need programmed, so buying another still might not fix it and I can't drive it to a dealer. I saw the STI seems to control the dimming function in the gauge pod. Assuming everything else in the integrated module is working, is there a workaround? Can anyone confirm if this needs programmed or just a user/owner swappable part? Thanks in advance for any ideas or input!

Do you have power to the fuel pump, relays and ign? Also do you have the hazard switch plugged in?
It could be the illumination control module.

Violet wire should be 12V when the key is on. OrW should be ground - but it pulses the line to create the dimming effect, so it's not easy to test with just a multimeter. Try pulling the body integrated module and grounding the OrW wire of the connector. When you ground it, the lights should come on full bright. If they do, the problem's in the module. If they don't, the problem is in the wiring.

It sounds to me like you have a short between V and OrW somewhere.

Car runs fine, so yes to those. The odometer is brightly lit until I turn the light switch on, then it goes dark.

Yes, the hazard switch is plugged in and runs the rear turn lights normally. I already have FFR's turn relay installed.

Jaime, I get my dash lights working when I do as you suggested. I guess confirming the integrated module is malfunctioning. Do you, or anyone, know if that is a user swappable part, or something that needs programming? Thanks again.

I have one I don't plan on using from a 2005. You can have it for the cost of shipping if it will work. Send me a message.

88281FE380 is the number off mine to check for a match. It seems the 06-07s are different than previous years, like many things. Thanks for the offer.

I might have mine from my 06, I built my own harness and put the lighting on its own circuit, so I no longer need the module.

I know 02-03 are also different. They don't have the connection for the ignition switch light. Don't know if there are other differences.

Thanks for checking. Each model level probably gets it's own as I think these are the ECM equivalent for the rest of the car, and will need the appropriate hardware. I think changing these might involve reprogramming keys and/or fobs but the google search has given mixed advice so far. I guess if I try it, I could just check the operation of the system, then set it aside until I get it registered and can drive it to someone who can do the programming.
