My body (#25) is really pretty good and I don't have problems with it like some other guys. I ordered the FFR white gelcoat repair kit #80762 ($67 w/ shipping) just to touch-up minor dings and future dings. The kit arrived today with 1 pint Gel Putty, 1 pint White Gel and 1 oz. Liquid Hardener. There is no instruction sheet included so how is this supposed to be used? Mix hardener with putty? With Gelcoat? What ratio? Steps? Tips?

Someone else mentioned that one of the kit components was highly toxic. Don't remember which part.

The catalyst is going to be MEKP. Very nasty stuff, Use gloves and don't get it in your eyes, it can cause permanent blindness. They really should send some warnings/info with it. Most gelcoats mix at 2% MEKP.

Joe Scott at FFR sent me instructions so for those following me:

Gelcoat Repair Kit Instructions:
1. Make sure damaged areas are clean and free of dirt, grease and wax, etc.
2. For large areas/ air voids, mix gel putty with a few drops of hardener to fill holes/cracks.
3. Let sit for one hour, in room temperature.
4. Rinse off excess with soft water
5. Wet sand with 1500-2000 grit until soft.

For minor scratches, use the included gel coat to fill. This is used as a topical treatment.
