I sprayed another one on Saturday and just rolled it outside for the first time at lunchtime:

Ford Dark Shadow Gray (CX). I shot samples of a few different colors including the "Eleanor" Pepper Gray but they were not nearly as lively as this:

I like it :) This one has kind of been below the radar; the owner is here on the forum but doesn't say a whole lot or have a build thread so I haven't been posting progress reports. Maybe he'll jump in to this thread to claim it or he may just wait until I get it back together and he finishes up the details then come out with a graduation! It's going to be a nice car!

Good question. I don't see anything wrong with your account. Are you behind a corporate firewall?

Looking good Jeff!

Yeah, that pops pretty well. What type paint are you using, a polyurethane? It should get a lot of attention at the car shows. Thanks for the pics, WEK.

Looks awesome Jeff. Nicely done! I think those colors are going to pop even more when all the shiny trim pieces are back on (light bezels, rearviews, windshield, etc.). Well played.

...What type paint are you using, a polyurethane?...

The base is PPG Omni Plus for the colors topped with 5 Star Extreme Glamour Klear #5125. I'd been using PPG's 4000 Velocity Clear but tried the 5 Star on Ryan's car and really like it. What you see in the pics is right out of the gun; no cut or buff yet.

Some pages I can see photos and others I can not. Could be the firewall at work. They do try to steal the good things in life

Jeff - it's very, very nice. The combination works really well. It would be interesting to learn what colors are most popular across the spectrum for Cobras. I would expect a lot of blues, but not many grays. Personally, I'm leaning toward some form of mahogany right now for my own build.
