Older Impreza donor

I have an opportunity to pick up a 1996 Impreza l with a 2.2l but am not sure if it would be a good donor for an 818 and was wondering if anybody knows if the parts are compatible or what will and wont work. I can get it for pretty much nothing so if I might need to source parts its not a big deal. thanks

Few of the parts on that car will work. I would say the biggest thing is that it being 96 it has a phase 1 transmission witch is not compatible with the 818. it may end up being more work than its worth.

Talk to Aloha, he used a 2000 donor with a 2.2, he had to pick up quite a few extra parts but made it work.
