Since my build is somewhat a one-off using a highly modified Mk4 frame and a Bruce C 289FIA body, there aren't any off the shelf exhaust systems I can use. SO I am building my own and using CSX 2430 as my source. CSX 2430 isn't an FIA and it uses a hybrid exhaust system. It has sidepipes similar to a 427 S/C. The differences are slight.
I began my accumulating some parts:
Merge collectors (Dynotech, P/N 783-21230)
3" straight tubing (Summit Racing, P/N SUM-640030-1)
Car Chemistry 3", 3 disc inserts (Car Chemistry, P/N 3DI03R)
Coarse steel wool packing (Burns Stainless, P/N ??)
90 deg 3" elbows (Patriot Performance, P/N H7062)
1.625 mandrel bends (SPD, P/N 316325-16 and 316340-16)
Header flanges with stubs (Hedman Hedders, P/N 11288)
Here is a rough mockup of what they will look like once I have the car and can measure for the correct length

Until the car gets here I can't weld the collector to the straight tube or mock up the primary pipes. But tonight I did weld the Car Chemistry Inserts wrapped in coarse steel wool into the collectors. Then filed the welds smooth
