ANY BUILDS NEAR PITTSBURGH???MK II builder looking to build 818S

Hello everyone!
I would liketo look at one of the new 818 kits in any stage of build. I built ffr1654 in 1999-2000. Retired Navy, currently work for the PA Game Commission. Saw the FFR car I built on it's 3rd owner when AutoXing at North Park this last spring.

Cleveland and Baltimore are the ones I know about. I'm from Pittsburgh, but in Medina, OH (just past Akron) if you're up for a drive. There is another build started in Akron (custome) and one in Cleveland planned (another Doug). I'm at go kart stage.

What area are you from? I grew up in the south hills area.

I noticed you fly too. My 818 is my sanity project while trying to sort out some medical issues to get me back in the air. Civilian route. The Clinton years weren't friendly to aspiring pilots.

I just saw your reply. We’re not far. There’s another Chris very close to you planning to build an 818, but work has had him too busy. I’m not sure if he started yet but he has his kit, need to check in with him. Not far from portage lakes. I’ve been working on the car during school hours, hoping to get it across the finish line while my wife is on maternity leave.
