Alternator fuse location - Thoughts/Suggestions

Trying to find a good place for my alternator fuse. Here is one location that seems to be ideal in that it is close to both the starter and the alternator. My thoughts are to terminate the battery feed and the starter feed on one side and the alternator on the other.

I know that this is directly under the headers but I can easily mount a heat shield between the header and the fuse.

Thoughts?

It does give you a very short unfused piece of cable, which is nice.
I like to keep things like that further from water, dirt, and heat. Mine is on the firewall. Just make sure you can change it if everything is hot.
