I am trying to decifer and split the plug that formerly attached to the fuel pump and fuel level sensor from my '02 WRX. The FFR manual suggests looking at the old pump. Well mine is long gone and am having difficulty determining which two wires power the new pump. I have determined from the wiring diagrams that the Red/Yellow wire and the Blue wire go to the new fuel level sensor connection. I also now know that both the Red/Yellow and Black/yellow wires are ground wires. That leaves me with the Black wire and the Black/Red wire. Anyone know which two wires I use to connect to the pump?

I made this when I had trouble with the fuel level sensor wiring. I'd have to look at the pump wiring again. Hopefully this helps with the level sensor wiring:

Thanks. This is a help. Still stumped on the fuel pump connections. I am thinking that the remaining Black wire must be ground to the new fuel pump, and the Black/Red must be power to the pump? Also, I had previously cut the Br/W wire since it went to the sub sensor. I now see that it conducts electr. directly to the fuel gauge.

Not to bring this thread back from the dead but....anyone know how the pump wiring goes??

I don't know the polarity of the pump wiring (yet.. I might need to pull the pump to check the wiring from FFR to our 255 LPH pump) but there is a nice clean 2 pin connector that could be replaced with the FFR pigtail. If you're having trouble finding it, then I can share a picture of what to look for tomorrow. Otherwise, you can splice in anywhere on the two wires that head to that connector, after the pump controller.

Looks pretty straight forward to hook up the pump and the level sensor.
Do we need:
the pressure control solonoid valve?
the drain valve?
the fuel tank pressure sensor?

I was planning to delete those but just wanted to make sure.....

Thanks

I did delete the:
Fuel Pressure solenoid valve
Fuel Vent control solenoid valve
Fuel internal pressure solenoid valve
Furl Tank pressure sensor.

I kept the fuel temperature sensor.

A couple of code need to be turned off as a result of the deletes.
