With the help of a few friends this morning (including Sten - check out his car in some of the pics!), I was able to get the body onto the chassis with no issues. It ended-up being more of a social day, so I didn't get much work done between talking with everyone who dropped by to check it out and just sitting there staring at it from my big chair.

A few shots showing how the paint reacts in different light and from different angles:

And a couple of the trunk and engine now that those areas are framed by the body:

And this one just because...

Great color! May I ask what the color is?

Thanks, guys... it's a great feeling to be at this stage - should be roadworthy in a few weeks.

The color is from the first-generation ('65-'66) Mustang - Ivy Green. Done in a base/clear using PPG Envirobase water-borne color over a black epoxy sealer base.

Looks great Chris!

Love that color, and it looks even better now that it is on.

Steve

Great color! - looks aggressive and a little like the dark green on Steve McQueen's Mustang in Bullet.

Thought so. My Mach 1 was that color! It looks really good on your FFR!

Beautiful all the way around. Great color, dash, engine compartment, and tail lights. I am sure you are proud, and you should be.

Here's a shot of how the interior looks with the body on... I'm still surprised by how the body changed the character of the engine, interior and trunk. Even though I've been looking at those for quite a while now, they look different to me with the painted body in place.

And a different view of the engine:
