First I want to congratulate Factory Five Racing for the amazing company they have built. Their pride and professionalism is apparent in their products and the support they provide.

I fell in love with the MK4 Roadster a couple years ago when I spotted one in Albuquerque. That car looked and sounded amazing! I had no idea what I was looking at, but I knew it wasn't the original so I got online and discovered FFR. I've been thinking about building one ever since. I recently "finished" a GSX-R 1000 powered mini-buggy, which I built from ground up including the DOM bending and welding. Unfortunately I rolled it on the second outing ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ocLyg5sguM slow mode at end of video) and it is in repair mode for a while, but once I get it repaired I am going to sell it to raise some cash and make room for a Roadster build.

It may be a while before I get into the build, but I am committed to the idea barring any unforeseen circumstances. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for their inspirational builds and FFR for making a beautiful car available for the masses!

Cheers!
Tommy from Albuquerque!

Welcome to the forum Tommy. Do you have any plans developing for your build?

I'm not sure yet. I'm getting a lot of inspiration here though. I don't have a lot of experience with cars regarding motor trans combos. I'd love to go with a crate coyote, TKO-500 trans, but will likely have to find a cheaper solution. It really depends a lot on the coin I get for the buggy and trailer. If I can $12-$15k for them then I might bite the bullet and spring for that combo. If not then I might be shopping for a donor car. If I go with a donor then this probably won't be my last build. I might have to build and sell to raise a little more capital until I can afford the car I want to build.

Hi Tommy, I'm building a FFR roadster up in Farmington area, I am using a basic kit with a donor 89 GT mustang, its together and running with body work kicking my rear, I'm talking to Maaco in Albuquerque this week to see how much to finish and paint.

I grew up in Farmington! Do you have a build thread? Maybe next time I'm in the area I can stop by and check it out.
