View Full Version : Lower control arm fit
First I found the bolt is 21 mm not as advertised. Got the driver side on with the two washer spacers. Tight but made it. No such luck on p/s. Only one spacer fits in back . One washer fits but can't fit two. Do I go with one or use thinner washer if I can find one. Suggestions?
Sanded down a washer and it finally fit. Had to add one to the PS front bushing. Not too happy so far with the qc.

Not at all unusual to have to modify spacers some. Had to fit my shock spacers a little front and rear.
Breeze has some nice sleeves that fit a little better with serrated ends.
The frames are all hand welded in a jig so there is some difference's.
Just part of making the build more yours.
Fun is yet to come. Post some build pics.

Joe,
Thanks for the response. I guess I learned my first lesson today. This is not plug and play. Some "thinking" required. In the end it will probably be more satisfying that I had to do some engineering. Ready to tackle the uppers and the hubs on Monday.

The chassis is designed to accomodate both the tubular as well as donor arms. When using donor arms no spacers are required; for the FFR tubular arms you use one spacer on the rear leg. Neither configuration is supposed to have a spacer on the front leg of the LCA.
