View Full Version : Fiberglass center console
Has anyone been able to successfully install the fiberglass center console? I know a lot of people have complained about it (me included), but I'm not sure I've actually seen it installed.

Started to the other day, it will work but it takes up a ton of foot space on the passenger side. I ended up buying the new style aluminum one from FFR.
Yea the passenger foot space and the fact that it doesn't really connect to anything over there. It's just a huge gap between the console and tunnel aluminum.
That's interesting you were able to buy one from FFR. I called them yesterday and whoever I spoke to was unable to tell me if the new consoles were available. If you don't mind me asking, what are they charging for the new setup?

If I use it, I'll be cutting the front off to widen the front for A/C and radio controls and reorienting the sides to fit better like an upright "V" rather than a "V" lying down as it is now. That means a homemade faceplate in my case. I plan to get my car on the road first, then work on that stuff over the winter.
